Aorangi Stylemaster Winners 2019 Pleasant Point LR The Aorangi Stylemaster Foursomes Tournament was held at Gleniti yesterday with 16 teams competing.   Results are as follows: Winners: Pleasant Point 144.5 (Ali Barrett, Rosa Westgarth, Rose Allison and Helena Love)Runners Up: Tokarahi 150 (Di McKenzie, Cindy Douglas, Val Clarke and Jude Simpson) Methven Jug Winners: (Best pair not amongst the winners) Averil Anderson and Georgie Wright, Fairlie,  69   The Stylemaster winning Pleasant Point team from left, Helena Love, Rose Allison, Ali Barrett and Rosa Westgarth.                    The Methven Jug Winning Fairlie pair, Averil Anderson and Georgie Wright.

Aorangi 9 Hole Tournament Winners 2019 LR The Aorangi 9 Hole tournament was held at Temuka on Friday 22nd March. Tokorahi Win R J Low Challenge Cup

20 March 2019

R J Lowe Cup Winners 2019 Tokorahi LR Tokorahi won their fifth and final R J Low Cup challenge against Temuka 4.5 - 1.5 on 15 March. Tokorahi's name will now be engraved on the Cup for the third time and the winning team is pictured, back left to right: Val Clarke, Linda Scott, Jude Simpson, Margaret Hore and front Di McKenzie and Ralene Sutherland. Absent are Mary Hore, Sandra Gibson, Carolynn Rowland and Jacqui Watson who also played in some challenges.   The next match will be played on 17 April at Temuka between Ashburton and Geraldine.

Aorangi Strokeplay

Aorangi Strokeplay Winners LR The 2019 Aorangi Stroke Play was held in perfect calm conditions at the Tinwald Golf Club.Thank you goes to the Tinwald Golf Club and its members who made the day run smoothly. The field consisted of 23 Senior Men, 9 Senior Women, 10 Masters Men and 6 Masters Women. Prizes were to be awarded to 1st and 2nd Gross and 1st Nett in Senior Men's.Senior Women to be awarded 1st Gross and 1st Nett.Men's and Women's Masters to pay for Best Gross in each division. Trust Aoraki Grant Success

The Aorangi Golf Association are very fortunate to have been successful in receiving a grant of $12000. The grant applied for was to support the 2019 Representative costs of accommodation and travel to the 4 major NZ Golf events of the season. The grant follows on from 2 previous years of solid support from the Trust. We would like to express our gratitude to Trust Aoraki for their decision to assist our association in the ever increasing costs of commitment to our national team events. Daniel Perham joins the Aorangi Board

In Aorangi golfing circles Daniel Perham has been a member of the Men’s Toro team for many yearsand will bring up 100 Toro games for Aorangi at this year’s tournament in Hastings. He is not just a team member, he is an outstanding player, leader, respected by his peers andopposition. Daniel currently works as Contract Manager for Sicon based in Timaru and brings vast experience ingolf, life and business to the Aorangi Board. Daniel's main focus areas will be everything representative Golf and communicating with a cluster oflocal clubs.
