Silver Pennants 2010
Final - Won by Rakaia / Mayfield
The Final was played in the afternoon between Rakaia/Mayfied and
North Otago 2. This was a very exciting match with 3 of the
games going to the 18th Hole, and some really great golf being
played by both sides with Rakaia/Mayfield coming out the winners
by 2 1/2 games to 1 1/2.
Rakaia/Mayfield names first: J. Clucas won 2 up over J. Knight;
J Webb lost 1 down to K. Tourell; M. Wederell won 7/6 over P.
Shirley and J. Smith all square with A. MacKenzie.
The playoff for 3rd and 4th was between last years winners St.
Andrews and Temuka.
St. Andrews names first: K. Gill beat D. Taylor 3/2; R. Allport
all square with F. Mulvey; C. Frewen lost 2 down to D. Pearce
and R. Sapwell won 2 up over W. Powell.

Silver Pennants 2010
Final - won by St Andrews.
The final between Temuka and St Andrews was a tense and
exciting contest in which some very good golf was played with
Temuka being 1 match up at the turn and the others all square.
The water hazards on the second nine holes at Pleasant Point
proved to be the turning point with St Andrews going ahead and
coming out the winners by 3 games to 1.

Final
- Won by Geraldine
The final between the Geraldine, the winners of the North
Zone, and Gleniti, winners of the South Zone, was played at
Pleasant Point in the afternoon of Monday 14 April in heavy
overcast conditions.This was a great match with the result not being decided
until the last hole of the last game with the team from
Geraldine, Ginny Bolderston, Jenny Lawson, Shona Bensemann and
Margaret Campbell coming out the Silver Pennant Champions for
2008 by 2½ to 1½ over Gleniti.

Other members of the Geraldine squad who had played
in earlier rounds were Sisi Silcock, Denise Kenny,
