Welcome to the 2010 representative season.

As we know the more golf you can play, the better you will perform and cope with tight match conditions.

I have listed below tournaments that are in our region and I urge you to attend if and when you can, however there are also tournaments in Canterbury and Otago so if you can get to any of these your performances at these will also be looked at and the scores considered towards team selection.

TOURNAMENTS

5^th August Timaru Women’s Open

23^rd August St Andrews Women’s Open

27^th – 29th Canterbury Provincial Championships or 36 hole stroke in conjunction with the men @ Timaru (Templar Trophy Team Named)

12^th September – Association Weekend Tournament Temuka

October 10^th - 36 hole Match play (Quadrangular team Named) course to be confirmed.

TEMPLER TROPHY 
September 5^th Ashburton (12 players)

SOUTH ISLAND INTERPROVINCIAL
October 16^th & 17^th Course to be confirmed (8 players) Interprovincial team named.

Team selection will be chosen on form, commitment, and consistency.

After the team is named I would like to see all team members attend the Otago Champs at Labour weekend and I will endeavour to arrange a match with the men’s team (or a mans team)

Quadrangular Tournament, Waimate Golf Club, 12 & 13 September 2009    Full Results The first round saw the annual clash for the Latimer Trophy between Aorangi South Canterbury & Otago. For the first time since 1995 we managed to beat Otago although have drawn a few times. Score 6 games to two with good wins from Catherine Knight, Janelle Amalfitano, Jenny Kellahan, Pauline Bell.  Catherine Bell, Bev Green & Kay Gill all halved their matches. Canterbury beat Southland 7 - 1 in the first round Round 2 the local team beat Southland 5 - 3 Catherine Knight led the way again along with Pauline, Catherine Bell and Ginny. Bev and Kay both halved their games Round 2 between Canterbury and Otago saw Canterbury come out winners 4 1/2 - 3 1/2 Unfortunately Aorangi South Canterbury could not make it three in a row on Sunday against Canterbury who won 6 - 2 Catherine won her Match against Robyn Cruse and Bev Green won her game against Nellie Tulisi. Otago beat Southland 6 - 2 Canterbury won the Barbara Langley trophy , Aorangi South Canterbury finished 2nd followed by Otago then Southland.    Full Results

Quadrangular Event - against Canterbury, Otago and Southland at Chisholm Park, Dunedin, 16 & 17 August 2008
13 holes were played against Otago for the Latimer Salver with the following results but due to atrocious weather conditions the rest of the tournament was abandoned for 2008.
