Established in 1976 the 18 hole 72 par course is situated on the lower Waitaki river plain approximately 12 km north of Oamaru. The course is mainly flat, fully irrigated with generous fairways and easily walked by the average golfer.

Presently the club has approximately 200 members mainly from Oamaru and the surrounding district.
