NZ Freyberg Memo

It would be appreciated if you could reply as soon as possible regarding some of the information we require. That includes trundlers and lunch order forms. These two items will help the Club in their preparation.
Arrival in Hamilton
It would be appreciated if you could advise your team’s arrival details, their accommodation and a contact name and number for the team manager on the entry form. This needs to arrive no later than Friday 16 October.
Trundlers
Trundlers can be hired from the Pro Shop for $30 per player which covers the practice round and tournament days. Indicate on the entry form those requiring a trundler.
Practice Round Draw
If you would like a tee time on Saturday 31 October, please contact the Pro Shop on 07 849 5088 or email shankgolf@outlook.co.nz A green fee will apply at $30 (after 12.30-2.00pm) per player but from Sunday the course is exclusive to the tournament and play is complimentary. The tee times for Sunday 1 November are set as:

Practice Range & Fairway
Range balls can be purchased at $5 a bucket, or $150 will cover all team members for the 6 days.

Team Managers Meeting
There will be a team manager meeting on Sunday 1 November at 3.00pm in the clubhouse. All managers should make sure they are punctual for a 3.00pm start.
Photographs
On Sunday 1 November at 4.00pm we will take team photos with our NZ Golf camera and email copies to team managers and the District Association. These are an adequate photo but if you want something more professional you should make your own arrangements.
Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony will take place from 5.00pm on Sunday 1 November following the team photos. After the opening, there will be a cocktail function in the club house.
Closing Ceremony
Following the final matches, the Closing Ceremony and Presentation will take place as soon as possible after the last putt has dropped. Teams will then have the opportunity to return to their accommodation and shower and change ready for the dinner at the golf club. Please indicate your total number staying for the final night dinner.
District Flags
Please make sure that you bring your district flag to the event. These need to be attached to the flagpoles prior to the opening ceremony so please ensure they are dropped off in the Tournament Office on Saturday when your team arrives.
Catering
The entry form is your opportunity to pre-book breakfast and lunches. This has proven to be the easiest way to do lunch, especially when the turnaround between morning and afternoon rounds can be short. There are two lunch pack options, one priced at $10 and the other $13 per person.
The kitchen will be open from 6.30am for breakfast. We would like to get an indication on the entry form if you intend taking this opportunity. A bacon & egg bap and coffee will be $10 and eggs benedict and coffee $20 per person.
The caterer will run a tab for the week this will need to be paid on Friday 6 November before leaving the course.
The price of the Friday night buffet is $40 a head and will be added to your tab.

Results will be available on the NZ Golf website www.golf.co.nz
If you have any specific newspaper or radio station in your home district that you would like daily reports sent to, please send their contact details to Jason Gulasekharam, jason@nzgolf.org.nz, Please note that all major daily newspapers are already covered by NZ Golf.

Club Storage

The Golf Club will store golf clubs if required.

5.10pm Official Opening Ceremony
5.30pm Cocktail function for everyone in the clubhouse
Monday 2 – Friday 6 November 7.30am ROUND ROBIN PLAY COMMENCES
6.00pm (Fri) Prize Giving and Flag Lowering Ceremony (exact time
dependant on final play finish)
7.00pm Dinner
