Grande Vue Women's National Club Teams' District Champions

The Women's National Club Teams' District Final was played at Temuka yesterday with 20 teams competing from Aorangi in fine conditions with the course in immaculate order.   The Grande Vue team of from left, Val Patrick, Sharyn McShane, Jane Patrick and Felicity Lambie took out District Champion honours with a excellent team score of 125. Nominations made for South Canterbury Sports Awards

The South Canterbury Sports Awards are being held at the Southern Trust Events Centre on 20 May, and Aorangi Golf have made three nominations on behalf of golf in the region. Sportsperson of the Year  - Catherine Bell Sports Team of the Year - Aorangi Women's Masters Team Young Sportsperson of the Year - Jessica Shearer Ashburton Golf Club member Catherine Bell was nominated for her superb effort in assisting Canterbury to win the 2015 Women's Toro Interprovincial, and being named Player of the Tournament. Aorangi 9 Hole Tournament

9 Hole 2016 Best Gross Winner The Aorangi 9 Hole Tournament was played at Methven Golf Club Friday in excellent conditions. Hiromi Ikehata (Methven) won the best gross over the field with a 49 and is pictured receiving the trophy from Shona Bensemann, Aorangi Golf Match Committee. Partnership with Canterbury Golf Proving Successful

Aorangi Golf have begun a new chapter in the way it provides golf services to its 27 affiliate clubs and 4000 members in Mid and South Canterbury.  In late 2015, in an effort to improve the quality, efficiency and cost of the services it provides, the Aorangi Golf Board made the bold move to outsource its administration services to neighbouring district Canterbury Golf.  Four months later the Board agree that the move has been a resounding success.  All District communications and correspondence are being provided via the Canterbury Golf office in Christchurch, who have three full-time staff available to support Aorangi Golf.  Clubs...

We are seeking a sport capability and development professional with excellent facilitation and communication skills for a Timaru based role that covers the Aorangi Golf district of Mid and South Canterbury. The Community Golf Manager will be responsible for providing club capability services and golf development initiatives to the Aorangi Golf region. Tinwald 3500 Womens Winners Tinwald Golf Club held their annual sponsored Tinwald Golf Club  Robbie’s Bar & Bistro “3500 “  2 Day event on the weekend with overall winners in the Men's section Andrew Teuru & Maeva Timote on 195 and Ladies Pat Bell (Club Life Member) & Christina Kinita on 205. Aorangi Women win Bronze medal at NZ Masters

Catherine Knight 2016 Womens Masters The Aorangi Women's Masters team enjoyed a podium finish holding their nerves to secure the bronze medal at the NZ Women's Masters tournament played at the Methven Golf Club.  The team of Ginny Bolderston, Catherine Knight, Jenny Kellahan and Angela Mowbray put together a steady performance to finish with one of their best performances at the event, a great improvement after their 13th placing in 2015.   Their solid start in their 2016 campaign was bolstered by a ’37-pointer’ by Ginny Bolderston in round 1, and with steady play in all four rounds, they were always a potential medal winner.  With a massive...

Aorangi start strongly at NZ Masters

Aorangi Women's Masters 2016 Team The 25th Masters tournament for district teams of four aged 40 and over, has returned to Methven, the venue of the inaugural event in November 1992. Round one got underway today with patches of rain throughout the day.
