Men's Representative Selection Policy 2011          Trial and Programme Dates

Eligibility
Selection to Aorangi golf teams is open to New Zealand citizens and permanent New Zealand residents whose handicap is administered by a member club of the Aorangi Golf Association.

It is hoped that at least 2 selectors will be in attendance at all rep games and designated trials. 

Selection Criteria
The selectors will select teams based on the following criteria.

• Results from designated Aorangi trials
• Results from national trials (not compulsory)
• Previous history in teams
• Compatibility within the team
• Commitment to trials
• On and off course etiquette and attitude
• Performances in interclub pennant series
• Two selectors choices

Dispensation
Non-attendance at trials will be excused for the following reasons:

• Exams
• Ill health or injury
• Personal issues
• Bereavement

General
The number of trials entered is at the discretion of the player, failure to attend trials without dispensation is an indicator of commitment. If any player is unavailable or has any queries, please contact the Convener of Selectors mensrep@aorangigolf.org.nz

If a junior is selected to play in the top 6 position then he will play in the senior team otherwise he will play in the junior team.
